I stayed in this hotel when I was 12 with my family, and this February I returned with a friend for a much needed vacation. In my memories, I don't remember it being this beautiful, but I do remember I chipped my front tooth (it wasn't a baby tooth, so to this day the chip is still visible >.<) while doing a back flip in the swimming pool.
The Shangri-la Mactan Hotel (Cebu, Philippines) is situated on a marine sanctuary, you can see all kinds of colorful fish just by snorkeling around the beach. The water is crystal clear. The hotel have scuba diving tours to near-by islands, which offers even more spectacular views of the ocean.

P.S. They are right when they say it's not worth it to bring little kids on trips when they are really young, because I didn't remember a damn thing.
